During the late 90's, four friends from the heart of the Midwest shared a common interest in music and as fate would have it, all were inclined to play a different musical instrument. One day while sitting around in a Days Inn maintenance room expanding their creative outlets, the idea of forming a band took hold. Dan Nichols, Mike Payne, Bob Sellers and Tim Butzen were on their way to creating a new sound light years ahead of its time falling into the nether regions of FUNK/PUNK & ROLL. Multiple recordings and shows followed in what would become a very successful run for the band known as Psychedelic Hangover. Electrifying guitar work, dazzling bass runs, pop driven drums and eclectic songwriting lead the band to the pinnacle of local success and provided a fertile ground for creativity and expression. The high-water mark was established in late 1996 at a local watering hole in which a packed house juked and jived all night to the wondrous sounds of PH, prompting promise of future gigs, sexual favors from strange women and an overall outpouring of love from the crowd. The musical future was bright, or so it seemed, but alas father time awaits no man. The group went on to perform shows with decreasing regularity and the songwriting stagnated in lieu of four people's lives that would not entertain their outdated adolescent fantasies. The band went on to become far more successful in their individual career fields, families and personal growth until finally, PH ceased to exist except in our memories and Hard drives. This site pays homage to some of the best friends a guy could ever have and lends itself to the old adage "One more time for old times sake".    Thanks for everything boys.
